Yau Chi Hang, 22, takes a pause from a pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong to get down on one knee and ask his girlfriend, 21-year-old Crystal Chan, to marry him.

Crystal looked shocked and surprised as she realised her boyfriend was asking one of the most important questions of his life during the historical protests.
After some encouragement from the crowd she gave him a massive ‘Yes’ before celebrating with a kiss.
Following the proposal, the couple told local news: “We hope our next generation won’t have to be occupying the streets as they’ll have true universal suffrage.”
