It’s not time to celebrate the start of Spring just yet, because it looks like we might have to wait another few weeks to feel the warmth of the sun.

Apparently, temperatures are going to drop more than 10C this weekend, compared to last Sunday, with the northern part of the UK hitting lows of -2C.

Brr!

Most of the UK will be lucky to see anything higher than 12C this weekend, as the winds from the Arctic fly in, giving the possibility of snow in some areas.

"It is going to turn wet and windy with temperatures much colder than the beginning of the week,” Met Office forecaster Nicola Maxey has revealed.

"Polar maritime air will move in while colder air aloft will be brought down by rain making it feel much colder.

“There is a chance of wintry showers and hail in the north over high ground with even some to lower levels.

“It will stay fairly changeable and will remain fairly cold over into the weekend and over the next few days.”

So much for hoping we could get the BBQs out soon, eh?

The bad weather might be horrible to go outside in, so why not look at what you could get up to inside your warm, cosy house?

You could make a start on that Spring Clean you’ve been putting off throughout the Easter Break?

Get the whole family involved in some baking? Why not try our chocolate inspired recipes (if you haven’t had enough of the stuff already!)?

Or finally get around to watching those films you haven’t had time to fit in? We recommend the Star Wars saga, Disney favourites or these must see nostalgia movies!

And if you don’t fancy any of these, check out our ideas for a wet weekend!

What will you be up to this weekend?
