A couple with Down's Syndrome - Niki Whyatt and Samantha Lochrie - shared their proposal LIVE on This Morning

This Morning viewers were in for treat this week and got to witness one of the most heart-warming moments ever on the ITV show – a live television proposal.

During the show Niki Whyatt and Samantha Lochrie spoke to Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes about how they were banned from kissing at the place they first met - their local youth club. Niki's mum Jackie explained how they were told off for kissing by a member of staff: "One night they were kissing and one of the staff members went over to Niki and told him it was inappropriate to kiss and we thought what’s the problem, they’ve been doing it for a long time."

Both Jackie and Kim (Samantha's mum) decided to take action and start their own club for over-18s with learning difficulties who are free to kiss if they want to. How sweet!

Many viewers have taken to Twitter to wish the happy couple their best wishes.

What an incredible moment.

Last year we saw lots of romantic proposals; one proposal lasted a whole YEAR after Josh Shmitz wrote adorable proposal messages every single day of the year. There was also those Friends fans who got engaged in Monica and chandler's apartment and in December last year a woman's heart-warming reaction was caught on camera after a lesbian couple got engaged.
