A daddy blogger has had the Internet in stiches with his hilarious post about what it really means to be a parent.

Sam Avery, a comedian and Podcaster, wrote a list on his Facebook page titled “20 Things I Learned About Being A Parent Last Year,” and it has now gone viral thanks to its brutal honesty and hilarious take on life as a parent.

In just twenty four hours the post has been liked over 30,000 times and had almost 18,000 shares.

The list describes the twenty parenting lessons that Sam has learnt, and they vary from that all too familiar feeling that you’ll never be able to do all of your laundry (ever), to the struggles of getting your babies to take a nap.

It has resonated with so many people that there are already almost 8,000 comments.

“Brilliant, I love all of this!” wrote one Facebook user.

“This really gave me a belly laugh!” wrote another.

We absolutely love this list!

Sam told CloserOnline: "It's refreshing to know that so many parents can relate to these things. When I write my blogs about being a dad I'm just trying to get things off my chest about the challenges of being a parent so it's great that people are enjoying them."

There are so many things that parents can relate to - from “It’s easy to get to midday and realise you’ve not stopped since 6am and achieved a grand total of f*** all,” to “I don’t care how strong you think you are, nobody is stronger than a baby that doesn’t want to get dressed,” Sam brilliantly captures the hard little moments that make up a parent’s life.

And it’s refreshing to hear this dad putting a funny spin on it all!
