"It's been a tricky few days - week or so - but obviously we're basically thrilled, it's great news, and early days. We're hoping things settle down and she feels a bit better."
Kate, 32, whose son is just one, suffers from the debilitating condition hyperemesis gravidarum, which causes extreme sickness in pregnant women - but William hopes she may be over the worst of it in a fortnight.
According to reports, the Duchess has not reached the 12-week-stage, but was forced to reveal the news early due to the condition. She is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace.
