Australian postie Martin Studer does the mail rounds in Brisbane each morning, day in, day out.
One family he delivers to own a particularly adorable, fluffy golden retriever named Pippa who wouldn't dream of biting Martin (unlike the common postman/dog feud stereotype suggests).
Each day Pippa wags her tail and bounds down the drive to collect her family's mail from Martin before taking it back to the house.
Without fail, Pippa meets Martin at the same time each morning but as Martin doesn't have mail for her family every time, he just can't bear to let the fluffy pup down.
On a Facebook post with pictures of the dog and his letter to her, he said: "Sometimes, Pippa comes out for the daily delivery but there’s no mail for her to collect, so I have to improvise :-)"
On a Facebook post that has been shared nearly 4000 times across the world, Martin shows an Australia Post 'You Have Mail' card with a special note for Pippa on it.
He wrote 'Mail for Pippa.' With some hearts on it. So sweet.
The story has been picked up by the press globally and published in many different languages.
On a recent Facebook post Martin has taken a picture of a joyous looking Pippa with the caption 'someone is happy about being famous!'
