Watkins was sentenced to 29 years behind bars last year, after admitted the attempted rape and sexual assault of a child. He will serve a further six years on licence.
The depraved 36-year-old also admitted to three counts of sexual assault involving children and conspiring to rape a child, among other sick acts.
And speaking for the first time to a national newspaper, his former girlfriend, Stacie Rushby, 34, has spoken out about her life with the singer – including how he would target ‘depressed’ women before manipulating them to do as he pleased.
“He is a paedophile, someone I trusted years ago, spent time with, laughed with, turned to when life got tough, but he's now a monster,” Stacie told the Mirror.
“Still to this day I am struggling to get my head around it all. How? Why? What changed? He is the scum of the earth.”
Stacie – who met Watkins after a gig in Nottingham – also told the newspaper also spoke of how she was vilified following his conviction, with people abusing her for not releasing the sick perversions Watkins’ harboured.
“He kept the worst secret ever and hurt the innocent. He's ruined lives, he's hurt his family and friends.
“I did not know this guy was a monster. {It} wasn't long after though I began to realise a lot and it finally sunk in that he was indeed a monster.”
