Richard Huckle has admitted to dozen of charges of paedophilia – although it’s thought the 30-year-old may have sexually abused as many a 200 children over a 12 year period.

Originally from Ashford, Kent, the church-goer posed as an English teacher in foreign countries in order to be trusted and let into the family homes of victims.

The photographer filmed himself abusing as many a 200 underage children, including babies as young as six months old. He also forced children to commit sexual acts with each other.

He then posted the horrific abuse videos on the ‘dark web,’ and even boasted that one of his three-year-old victims was ‘as loyal as a dog.’

It is thought that he mainly targeted hard-up families in Malaysia, and he allegedly bragged on the dark web that poor families sought people such as himself as care givers for their children due to his ‘high status’.

It is thought he first visited the country in his late teens, and groomed children while doing volunteer work.

He said: “Impoverished kids are definitely much, much easier to seduce than middle-class Western kids; I still plan to publish a guide on this subject.”

He cited a time he posed as taking a five-year-old girl out for her birthday in order to be alone with the child to sexually abuse her. Of the incident he wrote: “a small price to pay if nobody else is interested in celebrating your birthday’

Travelling back to the UK to celebrate Christmas, Huckle was arrested as he arrived at Gatwick Airport by National Crime Agency officials on December 19 2014.

Officials uncovered over 20,000 indecent images on his computer and a great numbers of pictures and videos of himself abusing young children.

He also wrote a manual titled: "Paedophiles And Poverty: Child Lover Guide" and detailed accounts of rape and sex act.

23 children in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur have been identified as victims, with 91 charges, although the list of victims is thoughts to be as many as 200.

Such details were previously kept quiet to protect the safety of victims from other predators online.

His sentencing hearing began at the Old Bailey on Wednesday (1st June), and is expected to finish on Friday (3rd June), and he faces life in prison.
