It was reported that the 33-year-old was arrested and charged in connection with her son’s death but the exact charges were not made clear until her court appearance.
Rosdeep, who appeared under her married name Adekoya, was also charged with attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
The mother of 5 made no plea or declaration and she was remanded in custody following the hearing.
The case will continue for further examination and Mikaeel’s mother is due to return in court on January 28.

Mikaeel went missing on January 16 and his disappearance sparked a massive search, with police working alongside members of the public.
Mikaeel’s body was found in woodland behind a house in Fife, 20 miles away from the 3-year-old’s home in Edinburgh.
The youngster’s mother was questioned over his disappearance following the discovery of the boy’s body in what police described as a ‘fast moving’ operation.
