Twenty-one year old Oscar Otero Aguilar was drinking with friends north of Mexico City when he decided to take a selfie with a gun.
Oscar held the gun to his head for the picture, but accidentally fired the gun which sent a bullet into his head.
Oscar’s neihbolur Manfredo Paez Paez told a Mexican newspaper: “I heard a gunshot, and then I heard somebody screaming and realized somebody had been hurt. I called the police straight away and when they arrived they found that he was still alive.”

According to reports, Oscar planned to post the selfie onto his Facebook page.
The 21-year-old’s friend Omar Abner Campos Vives was arrested following the incident, but the death was then ruled by police as an accident.
Oscar’s other companion, known as ‘El Paco’, is believed to be ‘on the run’ following the tragic shooting.
The fatal selfie came after Oscar posted photos of himself wearing Ferrari memorabilia and posing next to cars.
Another picture on his Facebook page shows him surrounded by bottles of alcohol.
According to newspaper reports in Mexico, an autopsy has been scheduled.
