Magaluf Girl - we choose to call her this because we don't wish to reveal her name to the public - recently became the centre of a worldwide scandal when she was filmed performing blow jobs on 24 men at a nightclub.
The footage was disgusting to watch - but what was more disgusting were the public's reactions to the clip.

The girl has been slammed as a "whore", as a "dirty slut" and as "disgusting" by people on social media. Some media outlets even chose to describe her as "the new low", while others said that she was bringing "shame" upon our country.
Nobody mentioned the fact that 24 men - none of whom have been named by the press - had dropped their trousers for the girl. Or the fact that 300 people in the club were egging her on. Or the fact that someone saw this happening and decided to film it and release it to the internet.
There are two different potential scenarios that led to this video being leaked - and not one means Magaluf Girl is a "slag".
- Magaluf Girl was fully aware of her actions
It was recently revealed on This Morning that Magaluf Girl 'knew what she was doing', despite the fact that she was drunk.
So what?
She'd gone on holiday to have fun, she was drinking and she was being sexual on her own terms. Who has the right to judge her for this behaviour, if this is the case?

As Samantha said in Sex And The City: "I will not be judged by you or society. I will wear whatever, and blow whomever I want, as long as I can breathe and kneel."
Society has a habit of packing women away in neat little boxes of who and what they expect them to be - especially when it comes to sexual behaviour. How dare anyone presume they have a say-so in Magaluf Girl's sexual endeavours? After all, nobody has said one word against the men involved in the video.
- Magaluf Girl was too drunk to give consent
We do not know how drunk Magaluf Girl was - we are only working on public speculation. But, judging by her surroundings, she was in a nightclub and had been drinking.
According to witnesses, the teenager was promised an exotic holiday if she performed a series of sex acts, which later turned out to be the name of a cocktail.
Add this to a club of 300 people goading her on, holiday reps encouraging her to play the game and a nightclub DJ telling her she'd have ruined the party if she didn't go down on 24 strangers and you have a recipe for exploitation.
Look at how disgusting this girl is, many social media users have said, linking back to the video – but, rather than being so horribly judgemental, why not look at the sex act she is performing while drunk and vulnerable.
It's worth remembering that if someone involved in sexual activity is highly intoxicated, the other person[s] involved could be found guilty of sexual assault - because consent cannot be given.

In conclusion: Nobody has the right to call this girl a slut
Magaluf Girl does not deserve to be slammed as a slut, because she is a victim. And she IS a victim, whether it be of media bullying, the narrow-mindedness of society, sexual double standards, exploitation or the 'rape culture' of Magaluf.
She did not choose to put that video out there in the public eye and she did not ask society to pass judgement on her. She is a real person - and she deserves more from society.
