The youngster put Lego in its place with the letter, telling them off for using gender stereotypes.

She wrote: ‘My name is Charlotte. I am 7 years old and I love Legos but I don’t like that there are more Lego boy people and barely any Lego girls.’

The letter then pointed out that Lego has very clear gender divisions, with blue packaging for products aimed at boys and pink packaging for girls.

Charlotte then wrote ‘all the girls did was sit at home, go to the beach, and shop, and they had no jobs but the boys went on adventures, worked and saved people, and had jobs, even swam with sharks.’

The feisty 7-year-old finished off her letter with a request that Lego girls have the same opportunities as Lego boys.

The letter complains that there aren't enough girl Lego figures that have jobs or go on adventures.

'I want you to make more Lego girl people and let them go on adventures and have fun ok!?!’

Lego has yet to respond to the letter, which has since gone viral on Twitter, Facebook and other social media platforms.
