Rampeung Onlamai of Samkok, Thailand, could never have imagined the frightening ordeal that awaited her within her own home.
The 57 year old had just finished up in the shower when a python, hidden in her toilet, sprung out and attacked.
If being bitten on her right hand wasn't enough the brazen reptile then attempted to drag Rampeung back down the toilet with it.
Unfortunately for the beast, Rampeung had no intention of going quietly. Managing to grab a broom she proceeded to push the python off her as she called out for help.
Her daughter was on hand and rushed in to pull the python's mouth back and rescue her mother.
20 stitches were needed to close Rampeung's wound when she was taken to hospital.
The snake meanwhile has slunk back down the toilet and is now being hunted down by the local authorities.
