Lost Prophets singer Ian, 36, was jailed for 36 years for sick charges including the attempted rape of a baby.

Two of his former band mates have now revealed their betrayal and shock at Ian’s actions.

Lee Gaze, 39, admitted that he first believed Ian to be innocent and, at that time, feared for him being in jail.

He told the Sunday Times: “He’s a bit of a coward – not a tough guy by ay means. To be in prison, where he’s going to be guy from the rock band, with those charges, I was worried. But then I reached a point where real resentment kicked in.”

It was following a drugs arrest in 2012 that Ian was found in possession of indecent images of children, but Lee said that at he first he claimed he had been set up.

Lee also revealed that he has cut all ties with his former band mate and has no interest in speaking to him ever again.

Another of Ian’s band mates, Mike Lewis, revealed his absolute shock, and admitted the situation was worse as he had known him since they were five-years-old.

He said: “I find it utterly unbelievable that he was capable of doing those things.”

He added that it was ‘impossible for the band to proud of their achievements now’, thanks to Ian’s actions.

An investigation was recently opened to find out if Ian’s celebrity status delayed justice.
