33-year-old Justin Ross Harris was arrested on suspicion of murder after his 22-month-old son was found dead in a hot car in Atlanta.
Harris’ son Cooper was died of hyperthermia after being trapped in a hot car for seven hours.
Recent reports have revealed that whilst Cooper lay dying, Harris was ‘sexting’ several different women from work.
A packed courtroom also heard that Harris had googled ‘ways to kill a child’ and ‘how long it takes for a child to die in a hot car’ before Cooper was killed.

A judge said: “For him to enter the car ... when the child had been dead and rigor mortis had set in, and the testimony is the stench in the car was overwhelming at that point in time, that he, in spite of that, got in the car and drove it for some distance before he took any action to check on the welfare of his child, I find there is probable cause for the two charges contained in the warrant.”
The state of Georgia still uses the death penalty as punishment, and if Harris is found guilty of murder he may find himself on death row.
