The men, of Somalian descent, preyed on girls aged between 13 and 17 and trafficked them across the city.
Many of the young women were groomed by the men to believe the abuse was ‘normal’ as they were persuaded to believe it was part of their “culture and tradition” to be raped by their boyfriend’s friends.
Horrifyingly, one of the young women abused by the men was found hiding in a cuboard in her underwear in hysterics after “they made me do stuff” while another was raped four times at a hotel by three different men.

This case has harrowing similarities to other serious sex crime gangs that have been uncovered in the past few years, including ones in Oxford and Rochdale.
In June this year, eight men were jailed for more than 80 years for their part in this Bristol gang, while today the seven remaining men were sentenced at Bristol Crown Court.

“As well as deep, deep concerns for the victims of your crimes, I also have some concern for your families, who are not responsible for your actions. You are.”
One man, Said Zakaria, 22, was jailed for 11 years, with the judge describing the abuse he facilitated as callous.
"While at the hotel you raped a 13-year-old girl twice, once in the bedroom and once in the bathroom,” the Judge added. “When you didn't get the sex you hoped for you took it by force. That force was significant.
“Your victim was injured as a consequence of your forceful lust. The repeated humiliation of a small 13-year-old girl was completed in a rough, callous and very nasty manner.”
