Rosdeep Kular, 33, reported Mikaeel missing on Thursday morning after ‘he vanished overnight.’ The last time he was seen was at his home in Edinburgh on Wednesday evening.

After an extensive search- involving hundreds of locals- a body believed to be Mikaeel’s was discovered in Fife, in woodland behind a house belonging to Rosdeep’s sister.

Assistant Chief Constable Malcolm Graham last night gave a statement in which he confirmed a woman had been arrested over Mikaeel’s death.

He said: “During the course of today the investigation into the disappearance of Mikaeel Kular has continued at pace.

“Following formal identification, I can now confirm that a 33-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with Mikaeel’s death. The woman is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.”
