11 arrested ‘in connection’ with missing Malaysian flight MH370

Eleven people have been arrested ‘in connection’ with the missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 it has been reported.

The arrested suspects are believed to have connections to al-Qaeda and are aged 22-55.

They were arrested in the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur and are believed to be involved with the mysterious disappearance of the flight.

The Counter Terrorism Division of Malaysian Special Branch believes the arrests of these people increase the suspicions that terrorism was a motive in the disappearance.

An officer there said: “The possibility that the plane was diverted by militants is still high on the list and international investigators have asked for a comprehensive report on this new terror group.”

The office added that some of the group, made of businessman, students and even a young widow, have admitted to planning ‘terror campaigns’, but deny having any involvement with the missing plane.

Flight MH370 went missing almost two months ago, with 227 passengers on board. The flight from Kuala Lumpur was intended to go to Beijing but never made it there.

Despite the fact that teams from Malaysia, China and Australia have been searching, no debris from the plane or a crash site has been found.
