While there’s no way of knowing where, how, and IF your partner will ask you to marry them, there is a possibility that you can work out WHEN they will pop the question.

Oh yes.

According to our own nifty research, you are far more likely to get engaged in 2016 than anyone else if your name is one of the twenty monikers listed below.

That’s all well and good - but how did we come up with this list?

Well, it’s all down to a simple case of statistics.

The average age of a first-time bride is 30-years-old, with women usually choosing to live with their partners for at least three years before they decide to tie the knot.

But, more importantly, the average age of a woman when she gets engaged is 27-years-old.

We then did a little bit of arithmetic and worked out that this meant that our brides-to-be of 2016 would have been born in 1988 and 1989.

Cue us checking out the most popular baby girl names of those years and voila!
