It’s one of the most fascinating surgical procedures of all time.
And now, thanks to the European Society of Urology, we have been offered an insight into how male-to-female gender reassignment surgery works.
They have created a short animated video, which details the procedures undertaken by very skilled surgeons.
Be warned; if you’re squeamish, then this probably isn’t going to be your cup of tea.

It’s very impressive, isn’t it?
The video begins with a surgeon’s hand slicing open the scrotum and removing the testicles, before removing the tip of the penis to create a clitoris.
The surgeon then uses the shaft and the scrotum to create the labia and vaginal canal.
Obviously these are only the surgical changes; additional hormone therapy is required to make the variety of other changes desired in the body.
However this surgery should give a woman everything she needs for a healthy sex life.
