Somewhat unsurprisingly, the man’s beautiful confession about his wife-to-be’s chemotherapy attracted the most comments.

One person wrote: “You are an amazing person. This made my night. So beautiful.”

Another added: “Oh my god this is the cutest thing ever!”

However some chose to find fault with the man’s proposal plans.

“I hate that people think marriage is the only way to prove to someone that you won't leave,” said one.

And another added scathingly: “Or you could NOT make her starting chemo about you. Just be there for her - propose another time.”

What do you make of the confessions? Were you surprised by any of them in particular?
