A new condom design put forth by a university student could be set to revolutionise our sex lives.

A ‘spray on’ condom could soon banish those awkward pre-coital fumbles that go with safe sex.

Pratt Institute student Michelle Chu has created the product, Girlplay, as an alternative to condoms.

We might be spying spray condoms in bedrooms soon!

The sprayable latex dries and forms a protective barrier in a similar way to spray-on bandages. It wouldn’t slip off an ‘one size fits all’ which means NO EXCUSES from well endowed partners.

At the moment Girlplay is simply an idea, but sprayable contraceptives have been tested previously by frisky couples.

In 2006, German inventor Jan Krause developed a liquid latex condom. It worked the majority of the time, but the sprayable condom took three to four minutes to dry.

Krause said at the time: "It's difficult to keep a penis erect for such a long time."

However, with cases of STIs and unwanted pregnancies continuing to rise, perhaps this new contraceptive option could be the way forward!
