“Before my divorce, I really thought marriage meant forever and that having kids reinforced this. In hindsight, had I followed through on this, I would have been very unhappy. Of course, we should all think long and hard before ending our relationships, especially when kids are involved.

“If you love your partner but feel your relationship has gone stale or is always in conflict, seek professional help and work on restoring happiness. However, if you’re in this position and, after full consideration, you genuinely feel there is no love and no hope, it’s time to move on.”
