2016 marks 100 years since the iconic British novelist Roald Dahl was born, so if you’re a fan be prepared for a year packed full of Roald Dahl goodness. Some of the pre-planned celebrations include the Hay Festival, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the Musical and the James and the Giant Peach film screening. Not forgetting Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of Roald Dahls beloved children’s novel ‘The BFG’ hits UK cinemas today! Dahl has previously had his children’s novels Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Fantastic Mr Fox and James and the Giant Peach remade into films and we’re sure the BFG is not going to be one to disappoint!
