1. Raw honey. Apply some honey directly to the spot and leave it for 30 minutes, or even longer if possible. Honey is a natural antiseptic and includes strong anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. However, in case of any allergic reaction test a small amount on the back of your hand or arm before using it. Your spots should disappear within 3-5 days of this honey treatment.

2. Egg whites. Egg whites are rich in nutrients such as Lysozyme which destroy bacterial cell walls and eliminate infections. Mix one egg white with one and a half teaspoons of raw honey and add a pinch of cinnamon. Dab this mixture onto the pimples before going to bed and wash off in the morning.

3. Use Apple Cider Vinegar. This is a raw organic 'mother' cure. The vinegar works by regulating the pH balance of your skin. Dab some apple cider vinegar onto your skin. Leave it on overnight to dry out, which will help the spot to shrink and disappear.

**4. Toothpaste. **Apply toothpaste directly on the spot. Any toothpaste which contains Triclosan could help reduce the inflamed spot. Triclosan is a good anti-bacterial ingredient to look out for.

5. Kefir. Kefir is a fermented dairy food, much like yoghurt. It contains alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) which is wonderfully beneficial to the skin. Applying kefir reduces wrinkles, removes dead skin and helps reduce acne spots. Apply some kefir to the inflamed spot directly as a face-mask and remove with a warm cloth after about 15 minutes.

6. Vitamin E capsules. These can help calm the spot. Squeeze the vitamin E capsule directly onto the spot and massage it gently in until it is completely absorbed. This could also be used as an overnight treatment.

7. Clay Masks. The healing property of clay has been used for centuries, its rich minerals effectively removing dead skin cells. These days clay powder can be purchased from any good health shop. Mix a pie-sized amount of pure clay powder with water. Mix until you get a smooth paste and then apply this directly to the spot. Leave it to dry, then wash off and apply a drop of Lavender oil. Lavender has great anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.

8. Aloe Vera gel. Using aloe vera on the spots will help reduce the swelling and inflammation as well as the redness. Rub the gel on the affected areas twice a day.

9. Carrot juice. Dab pure carrot juice onto the pimple. The juice will help speed up the healing process and prevent any scars before they form.

10. Fresh tomato juice. Squeeze the tomato juice into a bowl and apply it to the spot using a cotton bud.
