Is your diary bursting with summer weddings? Hollywood stylist to the stars and founder of LA fashion showroom Pistol & Stamen, Denise Weaver tells Closer how to stand out from the crowd with A-list style

As a wedding guest finding the perfect look for the ceremony can at times be a bit daunting. What color should you wear? Is it comfortable? With the impending collection of wedding selfies and group shots, finding the perfect look may leave you in a bit of a panic but I’ve put together a few styling tips and suggestions that will help you celebrate the nuptials in style!

Let's start with the basics...

• For all weddings:  Avoid white. This one should be a given.

• A too-formal dress will always be more appreciated than a drab outfit. So when in doubt, overdress.

• Showing off your curves is always empowering, but save the short body-con dresses for the nightclubs.

•Be sure to wear shoes you have worn before. It’s time for celebrating not bemoaning your aching feet!

  • Formal Wedding:

This is your opportunity to dress like a starlet. Think red carpet!  Fitted, elegant gowns in rich jewel toned hues like ruby, emerald, navy and black along with some gorgeous jewelry would be the perfect pairing.

  • Beach Wedding:

Keep it playful and have fun with the choice of style and color. A bright and pretty silk sundress works well for these celebrations. However, be sure to keep the beach elements in mind as they will definitely be attending the wedding too! Be sure to bring a wrap and shoes you can easily take on and off.

  • City Wedding:

Those wishing to get a little experimental for this wedding locale can go for a fun, and striking, yet classic look like this silver and rose gold asymmetric dress from Jaime Elyse.  “This fitted lace dress with a high low hem is perfect for either an afternoon or evening wedding”, states designer Jaime Elyse. "The lace has a slight shimmer so you won’t go unnoticed. It pairs well with either strappy sandals or your favorite heels. The fun and chic silhouette will allow you to celebrate the night care free.” http://www.jaimeelyse.com
