A birthing expert has shared a video of herself explaining labour in a VERY unique way - using a balloon and a golf ball...
Ok, if we're honest with ourselves, the majority of women try not to think about what actually happens in labour.
It's a scary enough prospect as it is without knowing all the ins and outs.
The words "contraction" and "dilated" alone are enough to send shudders through spines.
But when it comes to then actually knowing how everything works, some of us fall a little short.
ENTER: birthing expert Liz Chalmers, whose easy-to-understand video of what happens in labour will make perfect sense to the less knowledgeable among us.
Liz, who grew up in the UK but moved to the US, started training to be a midwife 20 years ago, but wasn't able to complete her training as she had four small children.
Instead, she began running an independent birth center and teaching classes, and has just retired from teaching after 12 years - so she DEFINITELY knows what she's talking about when it comes to birth.
She decided to make a video sharing one of her best techniques for her niece Charlotte who lives in New Zealand after she decided to become a childbirth educator.

In the video, Liz uses a balloon to represent the womb and a golf ball to represent the baby.
She explains how she has used the method to teach countless women about how contractions actually happen, and adds that it's a fun little game to play with the women who might be apprehensive about birth.

The video, which she posted on her Facebook timeline, has now had 2.5 million views, nearly 25,000 shares and over 10,000 likes.
