Are you expecting a baby boy?
Well, there’s a LOT to think about when it comes to choosing his name - as we’re sure you’ve realised by now.
After all, it’s not just about finding a unique moniker nowadays - or even a strong one.
Nowadays it’s about finding one that will help to shape and mould him as a person.
Yup, despite Will Shakespeare’s claims to the otherwise, we’ve noticed that our names can be pretty defining about us as people.
Because, as we’ve learned over the years working here at Closer, there are names that may you more attractive in the world of online dating, names that reveal if you’re good marriage material, the sexiest names of all time, and the names that make us most likely to fall pregnant in 2017.
And now, in a seriously sweet new survey, there are the names that are guaranteed to make people smile.
Wouldn’t that be a beautiful gift to bestow upon your baby boy?
The survey was carried out by the Oral Health Foundation as part of National Smile Month 2016.
For the research, people were simply asked: “What is the name of a person who makes you smile the most?” and “What is the first name of the person who makes you smile the least?”
And the results have DEFINITELY proven illuminating.

However, before you get TOO upset about the results, it’s worth bearing in mind that this is all entirely subjective - there’s no scientific evidence to explain the results.
Dr Nigel Carter, CEO of the Oral Health Foundation, said: “Obviously this research is very subjective; we all have that one person in our lives that makes us grin from ear-to-ear and one which can quickly turn our smiles upside down.”
We imagine that, no matter WHAT you decide to name your baby boy, he’s going to make you smile a lot as he grows up.
