And Amy, who has her own range of baby furniture with Obaby, admits she has her work cut out for her, being a mum to two young kids under two.
She laughs, “It’s tough having two kids under two. I was in complete shock when I found out that I was pregnant again because Polly had only just started crawling.
“At least they’ll play together and hopefully be close when they’re older. I’m lucky that Rich is really hands on and good with them. Luckily we still get time to go on date nights because one of our mums will come round and help – they’re fantastic!
“I’m not sure about having a third child. You’ve got to change the car with three kids and pay extra on your holidays!”
And Amy admits she had a Greek nanny called Betty to help her get into the swing of things after she first gave birth.
She says, “I had a really long labour with Polly – it lasted two days. My waters broke on the Friday and she didn’t arrive until Sunday! It was hard but Betty – who we nickname ‘Nanny McPhee’ and is about 85 – came over to my house and spent about three hours at first telling me what to do with a newborn.
“As a result, Polly slept all the way through practically from the start. Betty even showed me exactly which dummies to use at the different stages. When she finally left my house for good after a few weeks – I cried!
“Now I’m really OCD about the kids’ feeding and sleeping routines. Their toys are everywhere but at the end of the night I’ll clear and clean everything away. It’s full on!”
And Amy says there are some baby essentials that she could never live without.
She adds: “Bath times are a lovely bonding time with the baby and I used the Shnuggle baby bath – Polly loved it. There’s a ridge at the bottom to stop the baby slipping.
“I also thought the Sleepyhead was brilliant because they really cocoon your baby to help them go to sleep. I had the Sleepyhead Deluxe that is perfect for a newborn up to eight months and then the Sleepyhead Grand which suits a child up to three. You can put the baby in the Sleepyhead throughout the day while you’re doing stuff like cleaning and they can also sleep in it.
“Ewan The Dream Sheep mimics the sound of what it was like in your belly for the baby. You put the toy next to the baby and it lulls them to sleep. It’s like they’re back in the womb and it’s really comforting for the baby.
“I love the Obaby cot changer because you can change the baby right on top of the cot and there nursing chair is so comfortable. I used MAM dummies to help settle my babies.

"It's also important to invest in some good maternity bras - I went for Marks and Spencer ones because my boobs got so big and I needed something firm to keep them in place!"
And Amy says she’d recommend hypnobirthing for mums – which is a method of pain management that can be used during labour and birth. It involves using a mixture of visualisation, relaxation and deep breathing techniques.
Amy says: “Hypnobirthing didn’t work for me the first time around but for my second birth I did a course and all the breathing techniques and music really helped.”
