The pregnant star is angry and upset about her dad's tell-all interview
She has every reason to celebrate right now, with a baby on the way and another successful series of Britain’s Got Talent done and dusted.
But Alesha Dixon’s happiness took a massive beating after her estranged father Melvin Dixon, 66, gave a tell-all interview about their fractured relationship, in which he slammed her for cutting him out of her life, and suggested that she’s “forgotten where she came from”.
According to insiders, the star has understandably been left “devastated” by her father’s comments.
“Alesha can’t understand why he won’t leave her alone, and now he’s come out of the woodwork with these claims,” says an insider close to the TV judge, who confirmed during BGT’s live shows last month that she and husband Azuka Ononye, 38, are expecting their second child.

The 40 year old, who’s already mum to five-year-old daughter Azura, has spoken in the past about her “dysfunctional” family, explaining that she didn’t have much contact with her dad growing up.
But in his interview, Melvin told a different story. He claimed that, while he’d split with Beverly when Alesha was four, he’d stayed nearby and regularly included her in family events.

According to him, they’ve had several fallouts. The first was in 2004, over his disapproval of her then-fiancé MC Harvey, with Melvin admitting he’d slapped Alesha during the row.
Another was eight years ago, when she found out he’d fathered his ninth child.
He said he’d asked his daughter for money over the years, which she refused, but now his only requests are to make contact and meet his grandchildren.
“I’d love to see my granddaughter, and when I first saw a picture of her in the paper, I had a tear in my eye,” he told the press.
“I heard Alesha was pregnant again from the news. She didn’t even call me.”
According to heat's source, the star’s doing her best to stay strong amid the fallout from Melvin’s outburst.
“Thankfully, she’s got a strong support network around her,” they say.
“She’s trying not to get too worked up, as she knows it won’t be good for her or the baby."
