The 22 year-old was pictured looking fabulous as she revealed her beach-perfect body in a bright yellow bikini on holiday this week. So what’s her secret?
Speaking to Closer in January, the 5 ft 6 former TOWIE star revealed she keeps her size 8 figure trim by doing regular exercise and watching what she eats - but refuses to diet.
‘I would rather treat myself and work out than deprive myself of all the lovely things in life’
‘I would rather treat myself and work out than deprive myself of all the lovely things in life,’ she said.
Instead, Lucy said she opts for healthy alternatives and small portion sizes: ‘I replace things, so I’ll eat pasta but it’ll be brown, not white.’
‘Lunch is usually a chicken salad sandwich and if I am going to snack I’ll have yoghurt or fruit in the morning, and hummus with carrot sticks in the afternoon, or wholewheat pitta bread,’ she said.
Lucy said that in the evenings she eats ‘seafood pasta, salmon and grilled vegetables, or a grilled chicken breast wrapped in Parma ham with peas and carrots.’
Never go for a quick-fix diet and never skips meals, because it makes your body store fat
The Essex girl, who admitted she likes to indulge at weekends with a curry or chocolate, said: ‘I think that as long as you’ve got a healthy diet and do varied, regular workouts, you don’t have to go through the pain of faddy diets.’
When asked about her tips for looking good, Lucy insisted that you don’t have to torture yourself: ‘Never go for a quick-fix diet and never skip meals, because it makes your body store fat. Set a realistic goal for losing weight – one or two pounds a week – and eat regularly and healthily.’
‘Make exercise a part of your routine too; it makes you feel better,’ she added.
Like any girl, Lucy admitted to having bad days, but seemed generally happy with her figure:
‘My favourite body part is probably my waist, as I have a small 24-inch waist,’ she said. ‘My least favourite would probably be my legs - I used to get called ‘stumpy legs’ when I was younger because I’ve got a long body and short legs.’
