I was excited to find that I have lost 1stone 2lbs in the space of two weeks.
I decided to follow the Closer diet plan as I wanted to be able to enjoy all the things I love with just a few healthy adjustments. The plan is tailored to all my personal requirements and all my favourite foods are taken into consideration.
The best thing is that it works with my lifestyle and not against me and that there is an alcohol allowance. I can still have a social life and diet at the same time, without feeling guilty.
Being a new mum it’s hard finding time to exercise but I am determined to hit my goal weight. My friends noticing the difference in my body shape, and being able to get back into my pre-pregnancy clothes really keeps me motivated.
The best lesson I have learnt so far, is to plan my meals beforehand using the amazing recipes in the diet club.
My advice would also be to attend group exercise classes to ensure you are pushing yourself, to tweak recipes with your own herbs and spices, and to make your meals for everyone so it doesn’t feel like you’re the only one dieting.

I have lost 5lbs already!
I'm finding following the plan really quite easy, and I’ve really taken advantage of the convenient food options. My big downfall has been the wine. To help decrease the amount of wine (and calories), I decided to drink rosé spritzers. That way my drinks last longer and I feel like I can still socialise with everyone.
I’ve been feeling extra motivated after three people commented on me looking slimmer. Although I have had my off-days- (I was ill which threw my diet plan out temporarily), I have really noticed a change in my attitude towards food.
I've been a lot more organised with making a packed lunches and sorting out breakfast, which keeps me focused food-wise, and is so important.
When I have a craving for junk food now, I reach for low-fat jelly. I’ve also started checking the calories on menus when I eat out.
Next week I will start the insanity workout- I’m getting my fiancé involved too!

So far I have lost 2.5lbs.
I am still adjusting to fitting the diet and exercise plan in with my busy schedule as a single parent. I love that I can eat the foods that I normally enjoy with just a few adjustments.
I cooked an amazing beef casserole for the family using a recipe from Closer Diets. I have learnt how important it is to plan my weekly shopping list. Being a single parent you have to watch the pennies, and I love having a budget meal plan that ties in with your supermarket shopping.
This week I’ve been cycling, swimming and getting prepared for my 14 mile walk.
Challenges have been remembering to drink enough water and staying focused.
However I am proud to say I completed my 14 mile walk, have replaced naughty snacks with healthy ones, and have been looking at before and after photos to stay motivated.
