What was your last splurge buy?
A white slouchy jumper from Mary Portas at House of Fraser, £29. I'm not a big clothes shopper but I'd been dreaming of a slouchy, sexy white jumper since the autumn kicked in, and there it was, and I love it.
What’s your biggest regret buy?
I always regret giving in to the siren call of the ice cream section of the supermarket as I'm lactose intolerant, so two spoons in and I'm regretting it! Good thing is it lasts for ages that way...
Other than your car and home, what’s the most expensive thing you’ve ever bought?
A suit, but it was a present for my other half for her birthday, so it feels a bit gauche to say how much it was! But I don't own a car and haven't bought a home, by the way.
How are you with managing your money?
Pretty good. I went through a long scary period of not having any, so I'm careful. There's things you can do to keep it in check - write down everything you buy for a week to identify where you waste money or spend more than you think you do. Using sites like Groupon to check for deals on days out etc is good tip when looking to save money.
What’s your weakness when it comes to spending money?
Little treats for my girlfriend and children, like novelty stationary, kooky socks, a single hydrangea or gerbera, tiny little things I can't resist and know will bring a smile to their faces. I love making the people I love happy.
Please list the last five things you bought, and how much they cost.
Ha ha! Literally? Vests for the children, £4 a pack. Some hair clips for my step-daughter for school, £1.50. A dark chocolate Bounty, 55p. Paracetamol, 25p. A spare bandage for my foot, 40p. All from the same shop!
