Salma Hayek has a body that everyone in the world desires. Women want to look like her, and men want to be with her. With Hayek’s enviable hourglass figure, the actress always looks sexy and glamorous on the red carpet.
Closer has found out how she keeps that shape with that her busy schedule.
“I’m not a skinny girl. I push it. I’m at the limit of chubbiness at all times.”
“You have to weigh yourself every day, and you have to have an alarm number. When you get to that number, you have to start putting it in reverse" she told a magazine.
Salma reveals that she stays away from any rich food and wine when she hits her ‘alarm number’.
The Mexican actress lives in France with her husband French billionaire Francois- Henri Pinault and daughter Valentina, where culinary temptations are not scarce.
'I'm not a skinny girl. I push it. I'm at the limit of chubbiness at all times'
“Everybody has a weakness (and) mine is food. If you love food and you love red wine and they put you in France, you’re in a good place and you’re in a bad place at the same time.”
She insists that love plays an essential part in keeping her va-va-voom figure too.
“I think if I was not in love, I would probably let myself go faster. Love gives me the vanity to continue. I’m not necessarily vain, but when I gained 50-something pounds in the pregnancy, it did something to me. Since then, at least I make an effort.”
Though Hayek admits that it’s not always easy to motivate herself to keep in shape.
“I don’t like to exercise, so I have to force myself to do it, because I know it’s good for my health.”
“Usually if I’m home it’s easier to establish an exercise routine, but when I’m out of town shooting a movie it becomes more complicated. When I’m in Los Angeles I try to do pilates every week. I’m working with a wonderful instructor in France who teaches a unique combination of yoga and pilates.”
The brunette is willing to share one more diet-trick that she has up her sleeve for big events. And that is the Cooler Cleanse.
“My skin glows when I finish the 3-day cleanse. I always lose weight, although that’s not the main purpose of doing a Cooler Cleanse. A cleanse is an important part of my health and beauty maintenance program. Our modern lifestyle brings a lot ofstress and toxics into our body, and it’s important to help it eliminate them.”
