She may be nearing 50, but Anthea Turner has an enviable figure. She’s a petite size 10, weighs 8½st and doesn’t have an ounce of cellulite.

You’d be forgiven for thinking the 5ft 6 television presenter eats nothing but healthy salad, but she does indulge – in chip butties.

“If I want a chip butty, I’ll have one!” she says. “To me, a healthy diet means not cutting out anything, but eating in moderation.”

Diet

Anthea, 47, who lives in Surrey, describes herself as a grazer, eating little but often.

A typical day’s diet includes yoghurt and muesli for breakfast, ham and cheese for lunch and for dinner, steak and mash.

She and husband Grant Bovey, 45, eat fruit and chocolate for pudding – and she snacks on biscuits and bananas during the day.

Anthea has never embarked on a strict diet before and thinks this has helped her weight stay in check:

"If you suddenly starve yourself on a faddy eating plan, you risk piling it all back on aferwards – and more.”

Exercise

Instead of counting calories, Anthea swears by exercise to counteract her butties.

“Staying in shape is a balancing act. If you exercise, you can pretty much eat what you like,” she says. “I go for a 20-minute run, first thing every day – and take the dogs.”

But the real secret to her toned limbs is a £2,000 Power Plate®, a vibrating machine you stand on while performing different exercises. Just 10 minutes' use is said to achieve the same results as an hour-long intensive workout at the gym.

“I’m addicted!” she confesses. “It’s really helped tone me up, especially my legs.”

Surgery

But while Anthea’s body may look pretty perfect in these pictures, she’s happy to admit she's had a helping hand:

“I had a boob job three years ago. I went from a 32B to a 32C. I think they still look fantastic – so does Grant!"

And Anthea believes a happy marriage has helped her to stay young too:

"I'm very lucky to have Grant. We've been married for seven years and together for 10 – and I still fancy him!"
