Would YOU be angry if someone did this at your wedding?

We thought it was a universally accepted rule that guests should NEVER wear white to a wedding.

Why?

Well, because that’s the bride’s job, quite frankly - and she deserves her chance to shine in her VERY EXPENSIVE white dress, without any competition from her female guests.

Or so we thought.

As it turns out, three in five women have admitted that they absolutely would wear white to someone else’s wedding.

Maybe they were inspired by Pippa Middleton’s thunder-stealing behaviour at Kate and William’s big day, eh?

Despite this newfound love for the LWD (that’s Little White Dress, for those not in the know), the same survey - which was conducted by George at Asda -also stated that, in a list of the top 5 wedding faux pas, “wearing white as a guest” comes in at number 4.

And a whopping 40% of women added that their day would be ruined if another guest turned up in the same outfit as them.

Which leaves us very confused.

Should we be wearing white to weddings - or should we not?

We guess, in all honesty, it depends on the bride.

If you think she’d be fine with you wearing white, then by all means, go for it.

But, if she’s the sort of person who’s been busy planning her big white dress moment meticulously for years, then best to steer clear and pick another colour.

It really is that (snigger) black and white.
