Torben Chris, a popular comedian in Denmark, shared a photo of himself on Facebook enjoying bath time with his 2-year-old daughter.
In the image, he and his little girl can be seen playing with foam letters in the bathwater.
However the innocent snap sparked a huge backlash online, with many accusing Torben of being a ‘paedo’.
One wrote: “Why would any father want their daughter to not only sit in between his legs but see his private! Sick sick sick, very disturbing.”
Another added: "You're sitting there with your legs spread out in front of a two-year-old girl.
"Doesn't it feel wrong?? Was there not a single time where it felt wrong for the child?? Who on earth says your daughter wants to see you like this?? Poor child!!!"
However Torben (who later removed the image) has since penned a message to all of his critics - and to parents around the world.
It read:
Listen: children and adults can be naked together.
There is nothing wrong with a father who washes his daughter’s bottom and vagina when she’s a child. On the contrary, it is bloody disgusting if nobody does it, and unfair if only the mother does it.
If we couldn't stand to see each other naked we'd be born with clothes on.
*Nudity with your child is not gross, but natural. *
A father in the shower with his daughter is not pedophilia, it's fun.
And he seems to be on to something.
According to sex therapist Sarah Fletcher, there are many benefits for children who see their parents in the nude.
She said: "I think up until adolescence it is helpful for children to see their parents in the nude as it models a positive attitude towards their bodies.
"It helps prevent them growing up believing their own bodies are in some sense shameful."
She added: "But in puberty I think there need to be more boundaries and respect for what they might feel is awkward or embarrassing."
What do you think - should parents allow their children to see them naked?
