For Closer’s Dad Of The Year Awards 2016, we’ve shortlisted a list of celebrities, bloggers and real-life dads for you to choose from.
They come from all walks of lives, and each have very different stories, but one thing they have in common is the love and devotion they show to their children.
So it’s time to meet the Celebrity Dads in the running…
Duncan James
Best known for being in boy band Blue, Duncan is dad to Tianie-Finn, whom he had with former girlfriend Claire Grainger. Duncan recently said that he has a great relationship with Claire, and the pair are always honest with their daughter; including Duncan’s sexuality. In 2009 the singer – who’s now joined the cast of Hollyoaks – came out as bisexual, and later revealed he is gay.

Jonathan Tapper
The Tapper family have been a part of Channel 4’s Gogglebox since series one, and have become one of the viewer’s favourites to watch. Jon recently said that doing the programme has given the family time together and they’re a “family that love each other” – which certainly comes across on the show.

Jeff Brazier
Jeff has two sons - Bobby Jack and Freddie - from his relationship with Jade Goody. Sadly, Jade passed away in 2009, but Jeff has bravely taken on the role of single dad to the children and is doing a fantastic job. Jeff recently revealed that they always talk about mum Jade, and celebrate her life every month around the 15th.

James Bye
Mostly known for playing the new face of Martin Fowler in EastEnders, James welcomed his second son, Louis George earlier this year. James and wife Victoria said their first born Edward, has “fallen in love” with their newborn, and the pair always share cute snaps of their family on social media for fans to adore.

Sid Siddiqui
Another Goggleboxer that has warmed the hearts of the nation since the programme first aired since 2013. Appearing on the show with two of his children, Baasit and Umar, Sid is the one that gets the attention from the ladies. Speaking to heat, Umar revealed “women love Dad”. Sid also has another son, Raza, who occasionally appears on the show, but his two daughters and wife don’t like to be on camera!

Alan Halsall
Alan – aka Tyrone Dobbs in Corrie - is married to Lucy-Jo Hudson, who played Katy Harris on the ITV soap between 2002-2005. The couple has daughter Sienna-Rae together, and despite announcing they had split a few months ago, the pair are back together and seem very much in love; and Sienna-Rae was always their main priority throughout.

Tom Fletcher
As a singer in McFly and McBusted, Tom has quite the busy lifestyle, but always finds time for his two sons Buzz and Buddy with wife Giovanna. Tom always keeps fans updated with photos of the family on his social media channels, and proudly shares precious moments for others to enjoy too.

Ayden Callaghan
Currently playing Joe Roscoe in Hollyoaks, Ayden is engaged to TV presenter Sarah-Jane Honeywell, whom they share son Phoenix together. Sarah updates fans on her blog, where she praises “brilliant dad” Ayden about how supportive he is with their son, but also, tragically, when Sarah suffered a miscarriage before Pheonix was born.
