Cheryl Tweedy (previously Cole, Fernandez Versini and JUST Cheryl) and boyfriend Liam Payne did something hella controversial during the first The X Factor live show of the year.

Last night, thewildcards were revealed (oh HEY Leon Mallet!), Dermot acknowledgedSimon's absence from the show and wished him a speedy recovery and Cheryl was spotted in the audience, supporting Liam who performed new single 'Bedroom Floor'.

However, despite being the very show that Cheryl and Liam met on (when Liam Payne was 14, but we won't go into that now) the pair got up and LEFT as soon as Liam had finished his track, despite the show still very much happening.

LIKE, THEY LEFT STRAIGHT AWAY.

Poor Dermot had only got to the bit where he dramatically tells the audience 'the lines to vote have now CLOSED' when love's young dream left the packed arena.

Manners don't cost a penny, guys! You can't just leave half-way through a live show! A night out in London is expensive enough! Geez.

Of course, there are many reasons to why Chiam had to leave so early. Perhaps Baby Bear was not feeling his bedtime story and they had to rescue a tired babysitter? Maybe they wanted to beat the stadium rush? Perhaps they had an EastEnders omnibus to get through?

Maybe they had a chicken in the oven. It happens to us all.

During the show, 34-year-old Chezza gave her well-wishes to Simon, who fell down the stairs on Friday after fainting.

The new mum said, ' ‘I really miss you Simon, I know you’ll be watching at home. You’re very missed and we love you’

Get better soon, Simon!
