Sport Relief 2016, Friday 18th, 7pm on BBC1

The Beeb’s bi-annual fundraising telethon with a sporting flavour is back, once again packed full of celebs doing their bit to raise money for a whole host of charities at home and abroad. The likes of John Bishop, David Walliams, Claudia Winkleman, Davina McCall and Alesha Dixon present the festivities from the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, but elsewhere we’ll see how Eddie Izzard got on during his frankly staggering challenge of running 27 marathons in 27 days in South Africa, and Blue Peter’s Lindsey Russell zorbing across the Irish Channel. Elsewhere, legendary comic character Frank Spencer teams up with Sir Bradley Wiggins - and Idris Elba becomes Luther once again for a special one-off comedy sketch.

Marvel’s Daredevil, Friday 18th on Netflix

Stand by all you superhero fanatics out there, the fab Netflix drama is back for a second series. For those of you not in the know, Charlie Cox plays the man blinded as a child who has grown up into a hotshot lawyer by day and a masked avenger by night. Comic book aficionados are frothing slightly because in this series, we’ll get to see fan favourite Elektra make an appearance. Erm, woo!

The Day After Tomorrow, Saturday 19th, 7:40pm on Channel 4

This won a BAFTA for its stunning special effects, and stars Dennis Quaid as the lone voice predicting that global warming will lead to a new ice age. He is ridiculed, of course, but his fears come true and with everywhere literally flash-frozen, a few survivors (Jake Gyllenhaal included) must try to save others…

Yes Man, Saturday 19th, 11pm on ITV

Based on the brill book by Danny Wallace, a guy (Jim Carrey) challenges himself to say “yes” to everything for an entire year. Such a positive attitude does turn his life around from being a bit of a pain to getting the girl (hello, Zooey Deschanel), but there’s also a deeply disturbing scene involving a fruity old pensioner who wants, ahem, servicing…

Heston’s Dinner in Space, Sunday 20th, 6pm on Channel 4

wtwtw-18-20-march

“This is more than a TV show” – so says the great Heston Blumenthal, who’s spent two whole years bent over onions, slices of bacon, stewed apples and the like, sweating blood and tears to create the perfect food to be enjoyed up there in space, by Tim Peake and his fellow astronauts. Possibly the most interesting piece of telly you’ll watch in a long time, sit back and enjoy as Heston and his team talk through all the pitfalls of creating the perfect space – not to mention the endless problems with things like bread, as crumbs cause problems in a zero gravity situation.

The Voice UK, Sunday 20th, 7:45pm on BBC1

We slightly miss the spinning chairs bit, but the show must go on and the coaches are still whittling down their acts to the final 12 who’ll go through to the live shows.

The Night Manager, Sunday 20th, 9pm on BBC1

A suspicious Roper (the fabulously villainous Hugh Laurie) gathers his troops in a bid to root out the traitor – forcing Pine to play a dangerous game, eek!
