Spencer Matthews: ‘I’d love to go back on I’m A Celeb’

Spencer Matthews has opened up about his I'm A Celeb 2018 stint

Back in 2015 Spencer Matthews quickly left I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! after admitting he took steroid-based medication but now the reality star has revealed he was actually kicked off the show and would LOVE to return.

Spencer, Vicky Pattison and Ferne McCann entered the jungle shortly after the rest of the campmates but five days into his jungle stint it was reported that he left the ITV show.

Days later the Made in Chelsea star admitted he left the show due to the steroid-based medication he was taking for a charity boxing match. He explained: "I had intended to come off the pills gradually but there was no time to do this before the jungle.

"My admission to the production team I was still taking these pills led to the conclusion it would be unsafe for me to stay, a decision I found extremely hard to stomach.

"I pushed back but ultimately the show’s duty of care ­prevailed and bags had to be packed."

Now the dad-of-one to Theodore, who he has with his wife Vogue Williams, has opened up about his departure from I'm A Celeb and admitted he didn't want to leave and was in fact booted off the show.

In an exclusive interview with Closer Online, he explained: "I made a mistake but I didn't really drop the ball. I was more than willing to complete in that show, I absolutely loved it and was having the time of my life.

"I was removed completely against my will and for that it's annoying because I would loved to have done it. It's a bit of an ordeal now and a lot of people think I left on my own and that's simply not true. I was fully taken out against my will."

And if you're wondering whether he'd go back in the jungle it doesn't look likely, he went on to say: "I would love to go back and I would love to win it and set everyone straight but is it relevant now? Probably not."
