Strictly Come Dancing head judge Shirley Ballas has revealed that she's already got her eye on someone for next year's line-up.

Shirley, 57, is brand new to this series but is being very coy about her future on the show, as it was revealed by MailOnline last week that she refused to comment on whether she would return next year, saying only: "Let's get this series out of the way."

But that hasn't stopped her from planning next year's line-up, as she has revealed to Radio Times that there's one particular star that she would love to see on the show.

HANG ON JUST A MINUTE.

Shirley, we think you've played a blinder there - what a brilliant idea!

The head judge has a connection to the new mum, who gave birth to her first baby Bear with Liam Payne in March, as Chez once dated Shirley's one-time protégé, Derek Hough.

She also wouldn't be the first Girls Aloud-er to take part in the show, following her bandmate and close friend Kimberley Walsh, who was a runner-up on the 2012 series.

The magazine also pushed her on her commitments to the next series, but once again she refused to confirm whether she would be returning.

She also made some slightly barbed comments about her co-star Darcey Bussell, saying that their "backgrounds were worlds apart," saying: "I come from a housing estate, the underprivileged if you like, and she comes from privilege."

However, she added that Darcey was "beautiful", saying: "She's like Snow White. Her persona and her lovely attitude just work well with mine. She’s so kind I want to cuddle her all the time and give her a squeeze."

That was a close one...
