Strictly Come Dancing's head judge Shirley Ballas has revealed ANOTHER celeb she'd love to see on the dancefloor
Shirley Ballas still won't confirm or deny whether she's returning to her chair as Strictly Come Dancing's new head judge after the upsetting departure of Len Goodman last year.
But what she doesn't seem to mind spilling is who her dream contestant would be for Strictly.
Last month, Shirley revealed to Radio Times that there was one particular star she had her eye on - and she hasn't changed her mind.
Speaking exclusively to Closer, Shirley confirmed that she was still hoping to see The X Factor judge Cheryl on the dancefloor, saying: "I think Cheryl would look nice on that show."
HOWEVER. Shirley has broadened her horizons, and has now picked out another famous face that she thinks would go down well.
Be prepared. This may shock you.
She said: "But another politician for sure, they bring some humour to it. I rather like Boris Johnson so I think that could be quite nice."
WELL.
That's not who we were expecting to hear.
On the subject of returning to the show, Shirley said she would love to return, telling us: "If I get the invitation I would love to come back. I really enjoyed the series, it's amazing to be a part of."
Ooh - "if I get the invitation..." Is that a little bit of shade there, Shirls?!
Well, there was that rumour that she was quitting the show after just one series!
She went on to admit that whilst she had been nervous to begin with, she soon "found her feet," adding: "I thought I was growing a bit towards the end – just as it finished!"
Maybe that means she's edging back into her seat on the judging panel...
We'll see!
