Gogglebox star and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! winner Scarlett Moffatt is reportedly being lined up to front the Great British Bake Off.

The show is set to move from the BBC to Channel 4 and bosses are said to believe Scarlett could be a hit as host.

Scarlett was already a popular member of the Gogglebox cast but she has seen her star rise after taking part in the ITV jungle reality show.

A source told the Mirror: “Scarlett is now a serious contender - she opened a lot of eyes to her potential on I’m A Celebrity.

“She is young, very funny and just the type of presenter Channel 4 are looking for to front their version of the show.

“Scarlett may be inexperienced but the thinking is she could be paired with a more senior co-host.”

Other names apparently being considered to present the series include Sandi Toksvig, Davina McCall, Victoria Coren Mitchell and Sarah Millican.

Paul Hollywood is the only host that is moving with the series to Channel 4, with Mary Berry leaving.

The job would be huge for Scarlett who was working in an office job until last December.

She is now said to be able to earn up to £1million after her jungle stint.

However, she has apparently told her management to put a hold on all talks about her career until next year as she moves to London with her boyfriend Luke Trodden.

A friend told the newspaper: “She wants to enjoy a lovely Christmas, then make a proper shot at a long-term television career. She is prepared to work hard to achieve it.”
