The presenter said her thoughts about white supremacy were ‘offensive’ and ‘nonsense’.

This morning, Piers Morgan returned to Good Morning Britain alongside his co-host, Susanna Reid, and it didn’t take him long to get into a spat with one of his guests.

The controversial host was joined by Munroe Bergdorf, a transgender model who was recently fired from L’Oreal’s diversity campaign for comments she made about white supremacism, in the wake of what happened in Charlottesville.

The pair clashed after Munroe defended her view that “all white people are racist,” saying that she doesn’t regret what she said.

"I guess as a straight, white male, I am enemy number one," Piers replied. "Who are you to make these comments? You are calling all straight, white men like me these awful things and it's very offensive.”

Eeeek.

He added: "I wanted you to come on this show and look me in the eye. You say we shouldn't be offended by your comments. I want you to explain why we shouldn't be offended by what you said, that all white people are party to racial violence."

Snapping back at Piers, Munroe said that he was making the conversation about himself, rather than about racism as a whole.

"Some of [the] things you say are sexist,” she said. "Instead of taking it personally, why don't you think of being part of the solution? Sexism doesn't come from women, it's caused by men."

Explaining her point further, she added: "Talking about racism isn't causing a divide. Society has placed all white people with a certain privilege.

"That means if you are not dismantling racism or helping ,then you are part of the problem because that makes you complicit. You need to actually actively work with people of colour to put diversity into place.

"When L'Oréal fired me for speaking about the origins of racism, that goes completely against what diversity is. And we need diversity because we have racism.

"Did you know white people have a better chance of getting out of poverty than black people in this country?

"I don't regret my words, because I am an activist. I'm not going to say a bunch of things people will like. Yes, I said all white people are racist, but that's because they all have access to white privileges. I'm not talking about literally every single white person."

Monroe then went on to tell Piers she wouldn’t be watching Good Morning Britain again, and advised viewers not to listen to him.

This isn't the first time Piers has argued with guests. He recently expressed his opinions on Kori Doti, who is raising their child non-binary, and rowed with a mother who left her five year old child at home on her own.

Whose side are YOU on? Was Piers right to be offended by Munroe’s comments?
