Michelle Keegan has quit Our Girl after four series on the show to spend more time with her husband Mark Wright.
Confirming she's leaving the BBC One show, she said, "I’ve had the most incredible four years on the show and I want to thank the BBC for giving me such an amazing opportunity.
"Playing Georgie has been a life changing role for me. I’ve loved every second of the adventure so it was a very hard decision to make not to return."
The former Coronation Street actress - who wants to pursue other acting roles after playing Georgie Lane for the past four years - went on to tell The Sun, "I feel it is the right time to explore other exciting opportunities but I’m so happy to be part of the new series coming soon so it’s not the end just yet."
Michelle is set to leave the show later this year and her decision comes a year after her husband Mark quit his presenting role in Americato spend more time with her.

Later on while Tyrone helps Hope with her colouring, he tries to get her to open up about why she lied about Fiz and how she really hurt her arm – but Hope is uncooperative.

At the hearing, Fiz pleads guilty to possessing a firearm without a licence and receives a four month sentence, suspended for two years and a £500 fine.

After she's dismissed, Fiz is out and about when she's approached by Jade who tells her that though she never intended her to lose her kids, she's only got herself to blame. Fiz sees red, but Evelyn pulls her back.

Meanwhile, Geoff has drawn up a cleaning rota for Yasmeen and insists she gets started while he heads out. But when Cathy pops by and convinces Yasmeen to have lunch and a bottle of wine with her, Geoff is furious to return home to find Yasmeen tipsy and the house hasn't been cleaned.

Sensing awkwardness, Cathy takes her cue to leave, but forgets her bag and has to come back to get it, unbeknownst to Geoff.

Nina is touched when Roy shows up with the sewing machine and asks him to stay and be her model. As Roy tells Nina about Hayley and the difficulties she faced being transgender, Nina begins to warm to him.

But later on when Nina returns Hayley's machine to the cafe, Roy notices her hand is bandaged and Nina tells him the neighbour set their dog on her. Roy once again invites Nina to live with him, but she refuses.

After Tracy's one night stand, she confides in Liz that she's not even sure her and Steve's marriage is worth fighting to save.

But Kel quickly realises he's been set up and makes a run for it, trying to grab Bernie's phone in the process. Gemma and Paul give chase.
At the time a source told Closer magazine, "Neither of them could stand being apart from each other much longer, and Mark seemed to be suffering more as he was also away from his family who he's very close to.
"He told Michelle that he can't carry on with their marriage like this and that he was going to have to make big changes so they can be together more."
While filming for Our Girl, Michelle spends a lot of time filming abroad at locations such as South Africa, Malaysia and Nepal.

Major Coronation Street actor heading to HOLLYWOOD after soap exit
Michelle's decision comes shortly after she shared an 'ageless' photo in the wake of receiving a lot of backlash from her Instagram followers.
The actress shared a snap of herself from a decade ago wearing an Adidas tracksuit and wrote, "You don’t realise how far you’ve come until you look back... ten years apart 💫 Been reppin since day 1! @adidas".
Lots of her followers, including us, couldn't believe her throwback snap was taken ten years ago.
Michelle's photo came shortly after Mark Wright gave us an insight into their New Year's Eve party where she dressed up as Marilyn Monroe.
