It's the reality show that makes total strangers wed on their first meeting, under the basis that their soon-to-be married partner has been picked out as a match for them, but we were never confident that any of the couples would make it longterm.
That was until the story of Emma Rathbone and James Ord-Hume made its way onto our screens.
The couple, each in their early thirties, got on immediately, but took a bit of time after the wedding to get to know each other as friends (yes, it's all a bit backwards...).
But soon enough they realised there was a spark there, and decided to give married life a go, making the viewers of the reality show squeal with joy.
But now the sad news has been announced that James and Emma have called it a day, after 34 weeks as husband and wife.
Speaking to Bella Magazine, James explained how he told Emma that he simply wasn't in love with her.
Emma confessed: "It was actually quite a relief, although very sad... I really thought meeting the way we did meant we stood a chance, as nothing else I'd tried had...We really did want it to work. We gave it our best shot."
Emma also said that they plan to remain friends, as they still largely respect each other.
The couple also said that they never consummated the marriage due to a lack of attraction between them.
Well, although we're still sad about the split, we'd still like to believe in love at first site... Maybe not marriage, however.
