Viewers will see a side to my sister Gio (a mummy blogger, author and podcaster) that only her family know. They’re going to love her even more – there’s nothing not to love.

She’ll get along with everybody, although if someone oversteps the mark, she won’t just sit there and let that happen. She doesn’t put up with bullies – she won’t tolerate them in the camp and she won’t want anyone to feel left out.

She’ll stand up to people and won’t sit on the fence and let others bear the brunt. She’s very strong and competitive. I think she’s going to be a really good campmate – someone who is there for everybody.

She’s very level-headed and she’s resilient. She’s also physically fit. Giovanna’s a grafter – she’s a soldier. I think she’ll be really supportive and someone you can go to when you’ve had a hard day. Whenever I have a tough day, Giovanna is always the person I talk to.

Beverley Callard

Beverley Callard has played Coronation Street icon Liz McDonald on and off for more than 30 years but she says the biggest misconception about her is that she's as glamorous as her on-screen character. "I hate being dressed up and I don't care if my nails break either! I am quite at home in comfy baggy clothes," she says.

But I think there will be days to come where she will struggle. If it was easy, everybody would do this show, so I hope there’ll be people there who will support her.

They seem like a nice bunch this year, although there’s usually one where you think “You’re going to be a d***head”. But because of the pandemic, people need something fun to watch – light-hearted people coming together.

‘The hardest thing will be missing her family’

If she can juggle three young boys (Giovanna shares Buzz, six, Buddy, four, and two-year-old Max with McFly frontman Tom Fletcher), she can pretty much handle whatever I’m A Celeb! throws her way.

The biggest thing for her, though, will be missing Tom and the boys. They are her life. But she knows they will be watching, and Buzz and Buddy are so excited.

They understand what’s going on, so they’ll think their mummy doing challenges will be hilarious. I think, as a parent, you worry more about your children missing you (Mario is dad to son Parker, two, with fiancée Becky Miesner).

But Tom is such a brilliant father, and she knows that although she can’t see the boys, they can still see her and know what she’s doing. I’ve put £1k on her winning, so I’m really invested – but she’ll need to pay me back if she doesn’t win! Seriously, though, I know I’m biased because I’m her brother, but I think she’s got a really good shot at this.

She'll be good at...

Keeping up the energy in the camp. She’ll probably get more rest there than she does at home!

She'll be bad at...

Any Bushtucker Trial that takes place high up – the only fear she has, that I’m aware of, is a fear of heights.
