The line-up for Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK queens and judges has been announced – and Katie Price’s name is nowhere to be seen.
The hotly anticipated British version of the smash hit show – which sees professional drag queens compete against each other to be crowned winner by drag royalty Ru Paul – will land on our screens in October. YAAAAASS.
Ru and long-term pal/business partner Michelle Visage will host the show, and are set to be joined by national treasures Alan Carr and Graham Norton.
But one name noticeably absent from the announcements was Katie Price’s, whose historic involvement in the production had us hoping she’d making an appearance.

In 2015, Katie was one of three judges in the Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK Ambassador competition.Alongside comedian Jonathon Ross and Ru himself, Katie picked a homegrown drag artist as Ambassador for the show – long before production crossed the pond.
And after that, Ru even hinted that he wanted to bring Katie Stateside with him to judge on the main show, telling the Daily Star, "I'd love it if she came over and did it. She'd be great. I know she'd be absolutely fantastic.
"She does divide opinion but all the fantastic stars are that way. They push people's buttons."

But KP’s clearly sashayed away from the show.
Today’s promo video introduced the ten UK artists who would compete to become the first ever Drag Race UK winner and surely cement themselves in Drag Race HERSTORY.
Our early faves are Baga Chipz, who describes herself as “a bit of a gobsh*te” and “the tart with a heart” who would “give someone a Jimmy Cranky on the bus for a packet of fags” – we wouldn’t have known what she meant either, if it weren’t for the visuals.
And a special shout out goes to Vinegar Strokes, who says that to do drag “you’ve got to have balls of steel… and be able to tuck them really high as well."
