Christmas can FINALLY begin, as the John Lewis 2017 Christmas ad her landed!
After much anticipation the 2017 John Lewis Christmas advert has finally dropped and it DOES NOT disappoint!
John Lewis started teasing this year's advert on their social channels on Thursday morning posting a short video with clips from their previous years' iconic adverts, including Buster the Boxer, Man on the Moon, Monty the Penguin and The Bear and the Hare.
Earlier this week eagle-eyed fans thought they might have found a teaser for this year's advert after a video was posted online, and yesterday, it looked like the cat was out the bag, after a John Lewis employee accidentally put a Moz the Monster toy on display in store a day early!
So, what is this year's John Lewis ad about?
Well, set to a cover version of The Beatles’ song ‘Golden Slumbers’ that has been recorded by British band Elbow, the two minute advert tells the heartwarming story of a little boy called Joe, who is kept awake by a 7ft imaginary Monster called Moz.
Moz is living under Joe's bed and the two form a friendship and play together every evening.
However staying awake through the night starts to take its toll on Joe, who can hardly keep his eyes open during the day.
For Christmas, Joe receives the perfect gift of a night light which helps him finally get some peace and quiet from Moz, and a good night’s sleep.
Just as you think the ad has come to a close, Joe turns the light back off and hears the familiar rumblings of his friend and is reminded that he can bring Moz back any time he thinks of him.
All together now: awwww!

Last year's immensely popular advert followed Buster the Boxer, who enviously looked on as the neighbouring wildlife enjoying a trampoline whilst he's stuck inside.
When daughter Bridget goes to bed for Santa’s arrival, her dad can be seen carefully building a brand new trampoline in the back garden. When Christmas morning strikes Bridget excitedly runs outside to try her new toy, only for Buster to beat her to it.
The whole advert is accompanied perfectly by 'One Day I'll Fly Away' a Randy Crawford song covered by London electronic group Vaults.
